Duties & Responsibilities As a Professional Student Loan Collector, you must meet daily, weekly and monthly goals as set by management at Commonwealth Financial Systems, Inc. All Collection Professionals will make between 125-200 phone calls per day and work in a call center environment. Flexible scheduling requires 40 hours per week to include three days, two evenings per week and two Saturday mornings (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) per month. Collections experience is preferred, especially experience with the Department of Education. Experience in student loan collections given priority consideration. Collection Professionals receive competitive base pay and an excellent bonus incentive. Skills/Requirements: - High School Diploma/GED required -Full time position with the willingness to work two (2) evenings per week until 9:00 p.m., three days and two (2) Saturday mornings per month. -Experience in Collections, Sales, Customer Service, Retail Management and/or Call Center. -Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate. -Basic Computer skills to document calls and navigate software packages. -All employees of Commonwealth Financial Systems must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Level Security Clearance from the government. -Must not have any conflicts of interest with Commonwealth Financial Systems or our clients (no defaulted student loans). -Follow guidelines set forth in the FDCPA, Privacy Act of 1974, GLB act, U.S. Department of Education governing laws and regulations in addition to any and all guidelines set forth by the other governing bodies.
